Nashville School of Law Celebrates 25 Years of Recognition Dinner, Honors Alumnus Niewold & Faculty Member Hudson

For the 25th time, the Nashville School of Law will recognize leaders in the legal community as it celebrates the silver anniversary of the Recognition Dinner, the state’s largest gathering of attorneys in Tennessee each year.

The event will honor Charles R. Niewold, a 1984 alumnus of the School, and faculty member David L. Hudson, Jr. Festivities will take place Friday, June 8 in the newly renovated Renaissance Nashville Hotel ballroom.

Scholarship Available for Rising 3Ls and 4Ls

The East Tennessee Foundation, which oversees the Tennessee Judicial Conference Foundation Scholarship, has established a fund to recognize advanced law students who have demonstrated community involvement and/or a commitment to public service and who have a financial need.  This foundation will be awarding two (2) one-time scholarship grants, one in the amount of $3,000 and one in the amount of $1,500 to NSL third- and fourth-year students.

A scholarship committee will select the NSL representative from the qualified applicants.  The recipient may be required to attend and participate in the annual Tennessee Judicial Conference.  The Tennessee Judicial Conference Foundation provides the cost of travel, meals, and lodging.

If you are interested in being considered, please apply by letter to Dean William C. Koch, Jr. at 4013 Armory Oaks Drive, Nashville, TN 37204 no later than Thursday, May 17, 2018.  Your letter of application should explain your qualifications and interests and should be accompanied by a current resume.
