Nashville School of Law 2L Student Julie Downs was awarded the Judges Choice honors in the Tennessee Supreme Court Access to Justice Law Student Video Contest.
Downs, who writes and records music in her professional life, said she decided to make the video to “take a break” from studying for 1L finals last spring. The result wowed those in the audience at the Equal Justice University conference in Murfreesboro. Watch here:
The contest is designed to increase participation in pro bono work and raise awareness of pro bono efforts, programs, and providers throughout Tennessee. The theme of the contest is Why Pro Bono Matters.
